Business Intelligence Analytics

DecisionCentric® includes a business intelligence data analytics tool in the form of a “multi-dimensional data viewer,” or “data cube.” For more extensive business intelligence analytics that transcends traditional, two-dimensional reporting, business users can invoke DecisionCentric’s data cube for business intelligence data analytics. The user can leverage the data cube to evaluate what decision might be the best for achieving a given set of goals, to identify hidden opportunities, or to pinpoint a problem in the organization.

For a given set of dimensions and measures, the business intelligence data cube tool enables the user view data in as much or as little detail as desired – and for all combinations of the data dimensions in question. From a business intelligence data analytics perspective, a data cube could count the number of times a field occurs in result set, or identify the minimum, maximum, sum, or average value of data in a given field. Moreover, the user can view and chart the data cube through business intelligence data analytics in various ways.

The business intelligence data analytics tool provides the user with enormous flexibility to “play” with the data without impacting the disparate, production databases from which it is drawn. The user can drill down into the data in granular detail, dynamically select groups or elements of the data to be included or omitted from view, and alternate between real numbers and percentages with a simple click of the mouse.

Charting and graphing capabilities and the data analytics tool are tied directly to one another such that, whatever is expressed in the data cube at any given point in time can be immediately shown in chart or graph format.
